How to Check Whether Your Product Matches

A matching product name or photograph is not enough by itself. Compare every identifier available on your item or packaging with the official notice.

  1. Confirm the full product and brand or recalling-firm name.
  2. Compare package size, color, flavor, model, style, or configuration when listed.
  3. Check UPC, lot, batch, serial, date code, recall number, or USDA establishment number.
  4. Review the recall date and distribution information without assuming every seller is listed.
  5. Open the official CPSC source below and follow its current instructions.

If a required identifier is missing, contact the recalling company or issuing agency through the official notice rather than guessing.
